The Ministry of Digital Affairs, with the consent of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, offered an internship to the guy who forged the Diya application
The Ministry of Digital Transformation, with the consent of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, offered an internship to the developer of the fake application Diia. Before the court, he will undergo “re-education in IT”, working on social projects in the Ministry of Digital Affairs.
The talks were attended by Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov and First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yevhenii Yenin.
“I constantly emphasize that we in the Ministry of Internal Affairs are focused on building a service, not a punitive body. And today's story, as I think, is a great example. Cyberpolice quickly found a self-taught hacker who had recently created a fake Action. Just as quickly, we introduced him to the Minister of Digital Transformation. The guy was offered to atone for his guilt and serve in the ministry,” said First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevhenii Yenin.
Recall that on October 27, the cyber police, in cooperation with representatives of the Ministry of Digital Resources, exposed a 21-year-old man who developed an application for smartphones on his own. By design, it was identical to the state application Diia. In the fake program, users were given the opportunity to create any document for themselves from those presented in the official software. In particular, users could change their age, add any photo or fake a certificate of vaccination against Covid-19. However, the development did not have access to any of the state registers, and during its first inspection it was possible to detect a fake.
