The Transcarpathian police are investigating 69 criminal proceedings on the facts of using fake medical documents related to COVID-19. In two other cases, the court has already sentenced the violators.

Since the beginning of the issuance of special vaccination certificates in Ukraine in Transcarpathia, the police have investigated 81 criminal proceedings concerning fake vaccination certificates or PCR tests.

At the same time, 85 percent of the total number of cases, and this is 69 criminal proceedings, concern users of such documents. And in the vast majority of cases, violators are detected when trying to cross the border.

For the soldiers of the State Border Guard Service, detecting signs of a fake is a matter of minutes. Next, an investigative and operational group of the police arrives at the scene, which documents the fact that a person committed the crime stipulated in Part 4 of Article 358 (Use of forged documents, seals, stamps) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

At the moment, the Uzhgorod City District Court has already issued a verdict against two such right-handers.

One of the cases concerned the neglect of the law by a resident of the village of Esen, in Uzhgorod region. Returning from Hungary to Ukraine, at the international checkpoint, the woman presented the inspectors with a fake document certifying a negative PCR test result. Thus, the attacker expected to avoid self-isolation on the territory of Ukraine. According to the court decision, the woman was found guilty and sentenced in the form of a fine.

Another 4 criminal proceedings for similar crimes with indictments were sent to court, and two persons were informed by police investigators about the suspicion. In the near future, they too will stand trial.

The police once again emphasize that every attempt to obtain a fake vaccination document or PCR test results is not only a violation of the Law and a waste of money, but also an extremely dangerous neglect of one's own health and the health of others.
