Cyberpolice in Kharkiv exposed a 17-year-old boy who not only faked “Dia”, but also created the largest channel for the distribution of counterfeiting — Igor Klymenko
Last week, they discussed a young craftsman who created a fake “Action”. As it turned out, he is not alone. Cyberpolice in Kharkiv exposed a 17-year-old boy who not only faked “Dia”, but also created the largest channel for the distribution of counterfeiting.
This was stated by the head of the National Police Igor Klymenko.
“More than 20,000 people have signed up to his telegram bot and channel, which are already blocked. Through chat rooms, it was possible to access the fake Action for 200 UAH, and 300 UAH — to issue a fake certificate of vaccination against COVID-19, and for 100 UAH — a fake driver's license,” the police chief said.
According to Igor Klymenko, the system worked according to a conceptually new scheme: user data was stored on a server that generated a simulating web page of the application “Action”, and there you could change any information about yourself. In addition, the web platform displayed a fake QR code, which, after scanning, even showed the page of its successful validation.
“I admit, this is a great job of a young hacker. And even our publication looks like a kind of advertisement of his skills.
But the principle of inevitability of punishment should work: he broke the law by speculating on a difficult situation in the state, so he must suffer the appropriate punishment,” he added.
Recall that on October 27, the cyber police, in cooperation with representatives of the Ministry of Digital Resources, exposed a 21-year-old man who developed an application for smartphones on his own. By design, it was identical to the state application Diia. In the fake program, users were given the opportunity to create any document for themselves from those presented in the official software. In particular, users could change their age, add any photo or fake a certificate of vaccination against Covid-19. However, the development did not have access to any of the state registers, and during its first inspection it was possible to detect a fake.
