Up to two years of restriction of freedom threatens a black man for making and using a fake vaccination certificate

During the crossing of the state border at the international checkpoint “Porubne”, a resident of Chernivtsi presented a fake vaccination certificate to avoid observation and self-isolation. On this fact, the police conducted a pre-trial investigation and found out the circumstances of the offense.

In particular, the cyber police together with the employees of the police department №4 (m. Hertz) of the Chernivtsi Regional Police Department established that a 34-year-old Chernivtsi resident produced an international vaccination certificate using home computer equipment. The offender entered false information about vaccination to the forged document in his name.

Police officers informed the man of suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for by parts 1 and 4 of Article 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Also, the police sent an indictment to the court.

Cyberpolice warns all citizens: for the purchase and use of forged documents on COVID safety, as well as for their production, there is a responsibility in accordance with Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of a fine, arrest, restriction or imprisonment.
