The project is the result of fruitful interaction between the Ministry of Internal Affairs, central executive authorities, coordinated by the Minister, the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) and other international and national experts. This was announced today, September 8, by Deputy Interior Minister Tetyana Kovalchuk.
«Today, we are presenting the project of the Development Strategy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine until 2020, the principles of which were set in the 2014 Strategy for the Development of Internal Affairs. Our goal is to create the safe environment for a society, to continue the development of Ukraine as a safe European state, based on the interests of its citizens», ‑ said the deputy minister.
Tetyana Kovalchuk emphasized that this is not the final version of the document, but at the moment these are the directions for wide public discussion.
«We want our development direction to meet the demands of the Ukrainian society and receive the support of every citizen. We invite everyone to take part in the public discussion of the project Strategy 2020, to develop a joint inclusive document», ‑ said the deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Discussions on «Strategy 2020» will be held in the regions as well. The nearest weeks, the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and experts of the EUAM will present the document in the Odessa, Lviv and Kharkiv regions.
«We are ready to accept and analyze proposals and listen to the advice. We look forward to your feedback, understanding and support of both the customers and end users of the results of the reform. Because only together we will be able to bring peace, well-being, order and security to every Ukrainian family», ‑ noted Tetyana Kovalchuk.
