Such data are indicated in the annual report of the Fraser Institute (Canada) regarding the level of economic freedom in 159 countries of the world, which was announced at the end of September.

This year, Ukraine took 149 place with an indicator of 5.38 points.
The rating is based on five main components: the dependence of the economy on the government, the system of law and property protection, the access to finance, trade freedom at the international level, and regulation of lending, the labor market and business.
Almost the only component where Ukraine showed the real progress is the "police reliability" (it is included in the indicator "the system of law and protection of property"). The index of Ukraine for this component was 4.21 points. In comparison, in 2014 it was 2.75 points.
The growth of Ukraine's index for the component "police reliability" is the result of the reform of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the creation of the National Police of Ukraine, which contributed to a significant increase of citizens' trust in law enforcement bodies.
