Management of Patrol police of Ukraine and representatives of USA Embassy discussed the results of cooperation (PHOTO)
Deputy ministry of MIA of Ukraine in questions of European integration Anastasia Deeva and head of Department of patrol police of Ukraine Yevhen Zhukov met with representatives of USA Embassy. The American delegation was under the management of coordinator of programs of USA assistance, Ambassador Clifford Bond.
During the meeting, the Sides discussed the cooperation’s results of Department of patrol police of Ukraine in frames of assistance programs from USA Government and reformation plans for the future year.
«I want to thank the USA Embassy for assistance that we felt from the first days of reforms. Thanks to your experts we could create a new police that people trust», - Anastasiia Deeva said.
Ambassador of USA Embassy marked that positive results of Ukrainian side in the development of a law-enforcement system of the new format are obvious.
«Goals which you aim at are very ambitious but I believe that you can turn them into life. We are ready to assist your efforts in the transformation of law-enforcement agencies further», - said Clifford Bond.
From his side, head of Department of patrol police of Ukraine Yevhen Zhukov underlined practical achievements in work – providing public security during mass events. During a football match, “Dynamo-Besiktas” Turkish fans tried to provoke a fight.
«Thanks to the new equipment and training from our partners, police officers could take the crowd under the control and avoid injuries. Neither police officer nor fan got harmed».
In the end of the meeting, the Sides discussed reformation plans and cooperation on the 2017 year, the special attention was made on positive dynamics of reformation of the law-enforcement system of Ukraine.
«Today we continue to build bridges between «islands» of our reforms and hope that USA Embassy will support this complexed process further», - resumed Anastasia Deeva.
