Almost 12000 law enforcement agents would provide security during the 2018 UEFA Champions League Final match (PHOTOS)

Today, May 15, units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs exercised on Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex in Kyiv where the 2018 UEFA Champions League Final will be held.

"We are exercising on joint actions of all our units and employees of the stadium. We have already had a lot of powerful activities and we have experience in providing public safety. We`ve been using the Scandinavian experience of law enforcement for a year already, attracting experts from the EU Advisory Mission", - the First Dep. Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Sergey Yaroviy said.

The First Deputy Minister stressed the need to work out joint actions between law enforcement officers and stewards at the stadium.

"The stadium guard, stewards and law enforcement agencies must interact closely, track all activities of visitors. In case of complication with fans police communication groups are working constantly", - he said.

Serhiy Yaroviy stressed that responsibility for public safety is not assigned only to the unit leaders, but also to the entire staff. Every law enforcer should remember this.

At the time of the final match of the Champions League, it is planned to attract about 12 thousand law-enforcers. Of these - 6 thousand police officers, 3 thousand national guardsmen, a thousand border guards and other units.
