The State Border Service of Ukraine continues active vaccination of personnel against the acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

Vaccination of personnel of the State Border Guard Service began in March 2021. Currently, the vaccination process continues in all bodies of the State Border Guard Service. Vaccinations are carried out by teams of doctors of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In general, since the beginning of vaccination, 88.7% of the personnel of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine received one dose of vaccine, 62.3% of the staff underwent revaccination.

Border guards who have received one or two doses of the selected vaccine have the opportunity to obtain vaccination certificates of the appropriate sample.

On a daily basis, border guards are in contact with tens of thousands of people crossing the state border of Ukraine, so border guards must be reliably protected from a dangerous disease in order to be able to ensure reliable control and safety of travelers.

Vaccination helps to avoid the fatal consequences of the disease, and border guards who may be affected by COVID-19 while on duty carry the disease in mild form and return to duty quickly.
