38 thousand hryvnias of illegal profit - an official of the military academy was detained in Lviv
The officers of the Strategic Investigations Department in the Lviv region of the National Police, together with law enforcement colleagues, exposed the criminal activities of the head of the structural unit of the academy.
According to the investigation, the official established a corrupt scheme for the sale of fuel and lubricants at low cost.
In addition, the facts of theft of military fuel and its sale through underground gas stations created by him in the Yavoriv district were established. According to preliminary data, such an underground business brought the military up to 200 thousand hryvnias every month.
On the morning of March 25, law enforcement officers detained the head of one of the structural units of the military academy while receiving UAH 38,000 of illegal benefits. He was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Authorized searches are carried out at places of work, residence of the defendant, as well as at underground gas stations.
The issue of notifying him of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 368 (solicitation and receipt of ill-gotten benefits) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is being resolved.
Pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings is carried out by investigators of TU SBI, located in the city. Lviv, under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office.
