On October 06, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law of Ukraine No. 2658-IX “On Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and the Law of Ukraine “On Road Traffic” on Strengthening Administrative Liability for Violation of the Procedure for Establishing and Using Vehicle License Plates” (hereinafter — Law No. 2658), which, in particular, Article 4 of the Law of Ukraine “On Road Traffic” has been supplemented by a new paragraph, according to which the competence of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in the field of road traffic is to determine the procedure for manufacturing and accounting of license plates signs for vehicles subject to state registration and license plates for single trips.
In connection with the adoption of Law No. 2658, there was a need to develop and adopt a draft resolution, which proposes to determine the procedure for conducting activities in the field of production of license plates for vehicles.
