He shot his family during the occupation of Bucha: another activist reported on suspicion
The Russian military deployed its self-propelled artillery installations near the residential complex “Continent”, from where they shelled the city of Irpin. One day they wounded a 24-year-old local resident in the leg.
Then the Russians brought the wounded person to the territory of one of the private houses near their place of deployment and left her there.
At the moment when the owner of the house began to provide first aid to the victims, an armed commander of Russian artillery burst into the courtyard and shot both women and the owner of the house, who left the house to the screams of the wounded. From the injuries received, all three local residents died on the spot.
Investigators of the National Police identified the criminal: he was a 41-year-old lieutenant colonel from Kursk, commander of the self-propelled artillery division 234 regiment of the military unit No. 74268 of the 76th Assault Division. He was aware that his actions were being watched by subordinate soldiers, but he did nothing to hide his crime, thereby showing them that civilians could be killed with impunity.
Under the procedural direction of the Office of the Prosecutor General, he was informed of the suspicion of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The defendant faces fifteen years in prison or life imprisonment.
