The capital's law enforcement officers sent an indictment to the court against the pseudo-volunteer. The woman, disguised as the name of a well-known charitable foundation, collected funds to help orphans.

As it turned out, the defendant had nothing to do with this organization, and spent the collected funds for her own needs. The capital's operatives detained the attacker in the center of Kiev, when she collected funds from indifferent citizens under the guise of a volunteer. To attract attention, she wore a T-shirt with the inscription “Help orphans”, posed as an employee of one of the famous charitable foundations and urged passers-by to join in fundraising.

However, the attacker was not in any of the positions in said volunteer organization and did not transfer money to the fund's account.

Law enforcement officers gathered the necessary evidence base and identified 15 people who were affected by the actions of a pseudo-volunteer. In particular, citizens transferred money in denominations from 300 to 500 hryvnias. The investigators qualified the actions of the defendant as fraud and initiated a pre-trial investigation under Part 1 and Part 2 of Art. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation is completed, the indictment is sent to court. The offender faces up to three years in prison.
