Donetsk police seized 10 kg of drugs and detained drug trafficker
Cannabis, other narcotic substances, as well as weapons were found by the police in a resident of the Volnovsky district. The cost of seized drugs reaches 700,000 hryvnias. And in Mariupol, law enforcement officers exposed a drug dealer and prevented the sale of a batch of bookmarks.
Employees of the Narcotics Control Department of the National Police in Donetsk region received prompt information that a 29-year-old resident of the village of Zaporizhzhia Volnovsky district keeps a large batch of drugs at home.
Together with the investigators of the Volnovsky police department under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office, a search was conducted in the man's residence.
The police seized 10 kg of cannabis and zip bags with various narcotic and psychotropic substances (PVP, mephedrone, etc.). In addition, two rifles and a carbine (rifled weapon), as well as ammunition, were seized from the defendant.
The seized drugs are intended for examination. Their cost at the prices of the “black” market reaches 700 thousand hryvnias.
Pre-trial investigation continues under Part 1 of Art. 309 (illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation or shipment of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues without the purpose of sale) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The final qualification will be determined after the examinations.
In Mariupol, fighters of special purpose police companies detained a local resident while decomposing bookmarks. It was found that a 22-year-old man works as a bookkeeper for an online drug store. For one bookmark, the seller received 60 hryvnia.
To document the crime, the investigative and operational group of the Mariupol District Police Department was called to the scene.
The police seized 99 packages of the drug substance alpha-PvP (so-called salts) from the drug dealer.
The defendant was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine and placed in a temporary detention facility.
Criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of four to eight years.
