Today, November 20, a solemn transfer of equipment to the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine from the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation JICA and the company “Shabondama Soap Co., Ltd.2" took place in Kyiv.

40 special vehicles, 50 hand-held mine detectors, as well as containers and fire extinguishing fluid. The equipment that Japan has provided us today will significantly speed up the process of humanitarian demining and make it safer for pyrotechnics. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko reported about this in his official Telegram channel.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine thanked the Government of Japan and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine - Matsudi Kuninori for their assistance to the rescuers.

“Our faithful partner, Japan, continues to help our state, in particular, in support of humanitarian demining of the territories of Ukraine. Today, despite the constant Russian shelling, the explosives of the State Emergency Service daily destroy explosive objects, because, first of all, we want to do everything so that the civilian population can safely return to their homes,” said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko.

In turn, Japan's First Deputy Foreign Minister Kiyoto Tsuji stressed that they will continue to actively cooperate with Ukraine in the field of demining and share their own experience.

“Ukraine and Japan share common values, so our country will continue to support Ukraine and those who fight for its future, making every effort,” said Japan's First Deputy Foreign Minister Kiyoto Tsuji.

Recall that on September 9 of this year, the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation already handed over 24 trucks with an ISUZU crane installation to the Ukrainian SNS sappers.

“It is not the first time that the Japanese government has provided assistance to our state, in particular to the humanitarian demining units of the State Emergency Service.
