Alexey Sergeev visited the newly opened Center for Search of Missing Persons under Special Circumstances in Zaporizhzhia
The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs during a working trip to Zaporozhye got acquainted with the work of the Center, met with rescuers, police and national guards.
During the meeting at the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhya region, Oleksiy Sergeev heard a report on the implementation of measures for the digital development of the system, in particular the reconstruction of the information and telecommunication system of the Operational Coordination Center.
The main function of the Center is the organization of round-the-clock duty, receiving notifications from citizens about the occurrence of emergency situations, the involvement of emergency and rescue and fire units, local executive bodies, emergency services and formations, aviation of the State Emergency Service. Also, the OCC is engaged in coordination of actions during the elimination of dangerous events.
In addition, Alexey Sergeev visited the Center for the Search of Missing Persons under special circumstances. It was created in December 2023 with the aim of increasing the effectiveness of search operations and establishing constant communication of police officers with the families of the missing.
During the visit, the Deputy Minister got acquainted with the main areas of work of the Center, ways of searching for missing persons. Since December 28, 2023, the Center's specialists received about 1000 reports, identified 214 missing persons under special circumstances and 129 persons dead.
A large part of the examinations was carried out with the help of the ANDE laboratory, which allows us to quickly invent a human DNA profile.
In the Center for the Search of Missing Persons in Special Circumstances, citizens have the opportunity to learn how to act in the event of a person's disappearance, learn information about criminal proceedings, get advice on state social guarantees and benefits for the families of civilians, illegally deprived of liberty, prisoners and missing servicemen people, as well as get psychological and legal support.
Also, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine heard the report of the command of units of the National Guard, in particular on the operational situation and the implementation of tasks on the front line and in the frontline areas.
