128,992 protocols for driving vehicles while intoxicated were compiled by police officers for 10 months of 2023.
Article 130 of the Code of Civil Procedure establishes the responsibility for driving a vehicle:
- In a state of alcohol, drug or other intoxication.
- Under the influence of drugs that reduce their attention and reaction rate.
Another person who is in a state of such intoxication or under the influence of such drugs (transfer of control). - In case of refusal by the person driving the vehicle to pass in accordance with the established inspection procedure.
For violation of these norms, liability is provided in the form of: a fine (up to 51 thousand hryvnias), administrative arrest (up to 15 days), deprivation of the right to drive and seizure of the vehicle. The measure of responsibility depends on the qualification of the administrationviolation.
