Yevgeny Yenin: By the end of the year, the Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to transfer 2 thousand apartments to police and rescuers on the terms of financial leasing
This was stated today, February 22, by First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yevhenii Yenin during the presentation of certificates on providing housing on financial leasing terms to six employees of the National Police and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
The government has resumed an important social project - from now on, employees of the National Police and the State Emergency Service can again use the financial leasing program to obtain housing. Mechanisms of social protection of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system will work effectively, taking into account all legislative changes.
“The leasing program for employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, unfortunately, did not work for about 2 years. Its restoration is our common achievement. This is an extremely important social project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, providing an opportunity to get housing on preferential terms. The state covers up to 40% of the lease payments and 100% of the costs of servicing the contract,” Yevgeny Yenin said.
In addition, the first deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stressed that housing is a significant driver of professional motivation in the daily work of police and rescuers.
“Every employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs must be confident in their calm and stable future. This is not just the right to lease, it is the right to a secure future,” he said.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs consistently implements an active policy to address the social problems of employees and their family members. And already from February 1, each employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs receives an increased salary in the amount of 10%.
“We managed to attract these funds thanks to the successful implementation of the special operation “Excise”, which provided additional receipts to the state budget in the amount of 2.8 billion hryvnias. The salary increase is based on our joint achievements with you,” the First Deputy Minister informed.
In turn, First Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Denis Kudin noted:
“Today, an important event is the large-scale restart of the leasing program by two ministries - the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Economy. The project is implemented within the framework of the program of the President of Ukraine “Affordable Dream”, thanks to which every Ukrainian should have the right to obtain/purchase housing on affordable terms. From now on, it will be possible to purchase housing without a down payment and subsequent monthly reimbursement from the state. Today, there are more than 3,000 law enforcement officers and employees of the State Emergency Service in need of housing,” he said.
Recall, on February 2, the Government made a decision to improve the social protection of police officers, rank-and-file and senior staff of the civil protection service by providing them with housing on financial leasing terms.
Also today, February 22, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky noted that the renewal of the leasing program for employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is our common achievement.
