DUI discussed ways to prevent and combat corruption in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The communication event was initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in order to develop a unified approach to solving these problems. The round table was attended by representatives of the Department for Prevention of Corruption and Lustration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Public Union “Center for Prevention and Counteraction of Corruption”, Donetsk Regional State Administration, the Regional Prosecutor's Office, the regional units of the NPU, the State Emergency Service, the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, the State Administrative Service of Ukraine, the State Administrative Service of Ukraine, the State Administrative Service of Ukraine, the State Administrative Service of Ukraine. Regional Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, State Institution “Territorial Medical Association of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast”, Donetsk Research Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, representatives of the public, employees, cadets and students of DUI.

Rector of Donetsk Law Institute Viktor Beschastny emphasized the urgency of the issue of combating corruption. He stressed that the fight against this negative social phenomenon is being carried out actively today, there are effective mechanisms, but problematic issues arise, the solution of which needs a wide discussion.

Serhiy Yaremenko, Head of the Department of Corruption Prevention and Lustration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, told the participants of the round table about some aspects of the implementation of the state anti-corruption policy and the functioning of the corruption prevention system in the department.

Irina Kozka, a member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, noted the important role of public organizations in combating bribery. “With joint efforts, we should build an effective mechanism that will help overcome corruption,” the representative of the advisory body at the Ministry of Internal Affairs is convinced.

The participants of the round table discussed the problematic issues of combating corruption in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which citizens faced or may face in the future. And as a result of a lively discussion, concrete proposals were adopted. Based on the results of the event, practical recommendations for anti-corruption units will be prepared.
