For obstructing the professional activity of journalists, the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region opened criminal proceedings
The applicants reported that during the shooting in the village. The local residents of Grushuvato-Krinichne blocked their service car and took away their video camera, microphone and other equipment.
On October 14, around 8:30 p.m., correspondents and a videographer of one of the television projects contacted the Sinelnikovsky police department and reported that during the execution of the editorial task several men interfered with their work.
According to this fact, the investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 171 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (obstruction of legal professional activity of journalists). The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to fifty taxable minimum incomes of citizens, or arrest for up to six months, or restriction of liberty for up to three years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
