Criminal proceedings have been initiated on the fact of obstructing the professional activity of journalists near the Vydubychi metro station in Kyiv
As part of the pre-trial investigation, law enforcement officers establish the identity of the offender in order to bring him to justice.
Today, the Metropolitan Police on special line 102 received a message from a journalist from one of the local TV channels that she was hit by an unknown person near the Vydubychi metro station during the filming of a live story. The operative on duty sent the investigator-operational group of the Golosiivskyi Police Department to the call.
Law enforcement officers at the scene carried out urgent investigative actions, interviewed the victim and witnesses of the incident. Also, the operatives analyzed the videos of journalists, where the offender was recorded.
The collected information on this fact is included in the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations under Part 1 of Art. 171 (Obstruction of legitimate professional activity of journalists) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. As part of the pre-trial investigation, the police carry out the necessary investigative actions and operational measures to detain the offender and bring him to justice.
