In Dnipro, investigators sent criminal proceedings to court on obstruction of professional activity and assault on journalists
Recall, July 2 at the intersection of ul. Yuriy Savchenko and Ave. Pushkina m. Dnipro during the dismantling of billboards, there was a fact of obstruction to journalists in the performance of the editorial task. In particular, three men inflicted bodily harm on the operator of one of the TV channels and damaged his video camera and the journalist's phone.
By conducting investigative actions, law enforcement officers established all the circumstances of the incident. It was established that criminal offenses were committed by a group of persons without prior collusion among themselves. For these actions, three men 21, 24 and 31 years old were served with reports of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 28 Part 2 of Article 345-1 (Threat or Violence against a Journalist) and Part 1 of Article 28 Part 1 of Article 171 (Obstruction of Lawful Professional Activity of Journalists) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The maximum penalty that threatens suspects is imprisonment for up to three years. Currently, law enforcement agencies of the city. Dnipro in the mentioned criminal proceedings completed the pre-trial investigation and submitted the indictment to the court.
