Kyiv law enforcement officers completed a pre-trial investigation into the fact of obstructing the work of a journalist in Pechersk

Investigators sent to the court an indictment against a 31-year-old Kyiv resident, who is suspected of obstructing the work of the film crew of one of the TV channels on the Day of Commemoration of the Holodomor.

Recall, on November 28, in the Park of Glory near the National Museum of Holodomor-Genocide, an unknown man approached the correspondent of one of the TV channels and knocked the microphone out of her hands.

Soon, law enforcement officers established the identity of the offender and informed him of the suspicion of committing the crime provided for in Part 1 of Art. 171 (Obstruction of legitimate professional activity of journalists) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Currently, the pre-trial investigation of the 31-year-old suspect has been completed, and the indictment has been sent to the Pechersk District Court. For his actions, a man faces a fine of up to fifty taxable minimum incomes of citizens or arrest for up to six months, or restriction of liberty for up to three years.
