Brutal murder of a man in Kiev: patrolling police promptly detained the alleged attacker
The shocking discovery shook the entire capital yesterday. The police received a call that parts of a human body were found in a garbage bin on Druzhby Narodiv Boulevard.
Patrols immediately went to the specified address and ensured the security of the scene while the investigators worked.
At the same time, all the police of the city were focused on the search for a man who could be involved in this terrible crime. Around 23 o'clock, a concerned citizen reported that in one of the high-rise buildings on Trostyanetska Street he saw a man
similar to the wanted intruder.
Several crews of patrol police immediately went there. In the entrance of the house there was indeed a man who was similar in orientation.
Thanks to the joint coordinated actions of the patrolmen, the probable killer was promptly detained. The patrolmen called an investigator-operative group and handed over the detainee to them.
According to the head of the capital police Ivan Vyhivsky, thanks to the coordinated work of Kiev police units within a few hours in the Darnytskyi district, the police identified and searched the probable suspect:
“The defendant turned out to be a 32-year-old resident of another region. According to the previously collected materials of criminal proceedings, we established that during the joint use of alcohol between men, a conflict arose, as a result of which the intruder deprived the life of the 42-year-old owner of the house. For about a day, the offender lived in the apartment where the deceased was, and then decided to dispose of the body. To do this, he bought a hand saw for metal and dismembered the body in the bathroom, and several times took the pieces to the trash can near the neighboring house. The person was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine”.
Under the procedural guidance of the Pechersk District Prosecutor's Office, the investigators informed the offender about the suspicion of committing the crime provided for in Part 1 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is premeditated murder. Also, a petition is being prepared for the district court to elect a preventive measure for the detainee in the form of detention. The man faces up to fifteen years in prison.
