Zhytomyr police closed the case on raider seizure of the company
The organizer and her two accomplices will appear in court. As a result of the seizure of the property and rights of the company, its legal owner suffered losses in the amount of more than 14 million UAH.
As established by the operatives of the Strategic Investigations Department and the investigators of the investigative department of the Zhytomyr region police, the chief accountant of the company organized the transaction. Involved in illegal activities two acquaintances — members of a criminal group.
The woman under fictitious pretexts — difficulties in the financial and economic activities of the company and problems with law enforcement agencies, forced the legal owner to sign a package of documents for further resolution of the “problems”. In addition, she assured the foreigner that in order to avoid alleged criminal prosecution, the firm must be re-registered to another person.
In order to implement the criminal plan, the attackers created a firm and made the controlled person the director, and acted as the founders themselves. Subsequently, on the basis of powers of attorney, the company was re-registered as its own organization. In addition to the fact that the defendants seized the corporate rights of the company, they stole and re-registered all the property and subsequently sold it. As a result of the illegal actions of a group of persons, the legal owner suffered losses in the amount of more than 14 million UAH.
The police completed the pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings and sent the indictment to the court. Members of the criminal group are incriminated for committing crimes provided for in Part 5 of Art. 185 (Theft), Part 4 of Article 190 (Fraud) and Part 3 of Article 209 (Legalization (Laundering) of Criminally Obtained Property) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
