Seven years ago, in early June, Ukrainian security forces liberated the city of Mariupol from pro-Russian terrorists. At the same
time, on June 14, 2014, a convoy of cars of the State Border Guard Service with a cargo of provisions and property headed to units of the tactical group “Kordon”.
On the bridge near the Azovstal metallurgical plant, on the outskirts of Mariupol, border guards fell into a pre-prepared ambush of militants.
Five people died from the attack of terrorists: Major Nikolai Zaitsev, Major Vitaly Vinnichenko, Ensign Vladimir Grechany, Sergeant Sergei Epifanov, employee Alexander Ostrovsky. Eternal memory to the heroes!
