Since the beginning of the year, fire engineers of the State Emergency Service have seized and destroyed more than 31 thousand 500 explosive objects
Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine carry out daily work to survey the territory of the country, identify, seize and destroy explosive objects from past wars. Most often, citizens find such dangerous finds during recreation in the forests, during economic work on the territory of their own households. And in the summer, the number of discovered munitions in water bodies also increases.
Thus, on June 27, in Khmelnytskyi Oblast, the SNS sappers destroyed two explosive objects of the Second World War, namely: a 152 mm artillery shell and an aircraft bomb FAB-50 of the Second World War. Explosive objects were found in the field during earthworks near the city. Starokostyantyniv and in the village. The stumps of the Starokostiantyniv city community.
In Odesa region, on June 25, pyrotechnics defused 7 World War II artillery pieces, which were found near the village of Marianivka by local residents, during field work.
In the Sumy region last week, work was carried out on the neutralization of twenty-seven 50-mm mortar mines, two 76-mm mortars and two 45-mm artillery shells. Ammunition was previously discovered in the s. Perekopovka, in the Romeni region. Dangerous items were taken to a designated place and destroyed by detonation.
In addition, work is underway on the demining of liberated territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Thus, on June 28, units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the territory of Donetsk region, where the PLO is conducted, surveyed 1.39 hectares of territory and identified and removed 38 VNPs.
In total, since the beginning of the year, the pyrotechnic units of the SNS have seized and destroyed 31 thousand 588 explosive objects, including 206 aircraft bombs.
Therefore, in order to prevent accidents among the population in case of detection of explosive objects, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine once again appeals to citizens with a request to observe the rules of safe handling of explosive or unknown objects!
It is strictly forbidden:
touch a suspicious object or move it;
fill it with liquids, cover it with soil or cover it with something;
to exert sound, light, thermal or mechanical effects on a suspicious object, because almost all explosives are sensitive to mechanical, sound effects and heating;
try to neutralize the find yourself.
Remember that in case of detection of explosive objects, you must immediately report this at the number “101” or “102”!
