Since the beginning of the year, fire engineers of the State Emergency Service have seized and destroyed more than 29 thousand explosive objects
Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine carry out daily work to survey the territory of the country, identify, seize and destroy explosive objects from past wars.
Thus, on June 14, the personnel of the pyrotechnic works group of the Emergency and Rescue Squad of the Special Purpose Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Ivano-Frankivsk region destroyed one 122 mm wartime artillery shell discovered in the village of Hrebeniv, Stryi district, Lviv region.
Earlier, on June 11, during the earthworks on the street of the 130th Rifle Division in the city. Berdyansk, 2 mortar mines of 82 mm caliber were detected, and on June 12 the pyrotechnics of ARZ SP m. Zaporozhye during the survey of the territory found and recovered about 90 explosive objects, including: 82 mm mortar mines, 50 mm artillery shells and other VNPs from past wars.
In Khmelnytskyi Oblast on June 11, sappers of the Pyrotechnic Works Group of the Special Purpose Emergency Rescue Detachment seized and destroyed two artillery shells of 88 and 152 mm caliber of World War II, which were discovered by citizens in the forest tract “Evelina” near Yat Rmolyntsi.
In addition, work is underway on the demining of liberated territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Thus, during June 14, units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the territory of Donetsk region, where the PLO is conducted, surveyed 1.98 hectares of territory and identified and removed 84 VNPs.
In total, since the beginning of the year, the pyrotechnic units of the SNS have seized and destroyed 29 thousand 338 explosive objects, including 190 aircraft bombs.
Therefore, in order to prevent accidents among the population in case of detection of explosive objects, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine once again appeals to citizens with a request to observe the rules of safe handling of explosive or unknown objects!
It is strictly prohibited:
- touch a suspicious object or move it;
- fill it with liquids, cover it with soil or cover it with something;
- to exert sound, light, thermal or mechanical effects on a suspicious object, because almost all explosive substances are sensitive to mechanical, sound effects and heating;
- try to independently neutralize the find.
Remember that in case of detection of explosive objects, it is necessary to immediately report this at the number “101” or “102” and in no case try to identify the found ammunition yourself!
