On the occasion of the Constitution Day, the National Guards solemnly raised the State Flag of Ukraine
To the sounds of the National Anthem of Ukraine, the servicemen of the Honor Guard of the Northern Operational and Territorial Union of the National Guard of Ukraine solemnly raised the State Flag of Ukraine on the Constitution Square, in front of the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada — Dmitry Razumkov, people's deputies of Ukraine, representatives of law enforcement agencies, military and the public.
At the end of the solemn ritual of raising the State Flag, the servicemen of the special training battalion “Honor Guard” of the First Presidential Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine opened a commemorative sign “Trident” near the walls of the Verkhovna Rada, which is a symbol of faith, strength and independence.
In the session hall of the Parliament, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Constitution of Ukraine, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed Ukrainian citizens: “A quarter of a century ago, on this very day, in this hall, a very important symbol of our history, our independence and our state was born! And I sincerely congratulate all of us on this great, special, double holiday — Happy Constitution Day of Ukraine and the 25th anniversary of its adoption!”
The guards of the Honor Guard of the National Guard of Ukraine had the high honor of bringing the Constitution of Ukraine to the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada.
“Today, the soldiers of the Honorary Guard Battalion of the National Guard of Ukraine are involved in the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution of independent Ukraine. Together with the Constitution, we have such important state symbols as: the Act of Proclamation of Independence, the Declaration of State Sovereignty and the first flag of independent Ukraine, which was brought to the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada in 1991. Soldiers of our battalion serve near each of them,” Senior Lieutenant Artem Hnatyuk shares his impressions.
