How was the week of work of the checkpoint in the area of the PLO
By order of the commander of the Joint Forces on the demarcation line, all checkpoints are open for passage daily, from 8.00 to 16.00. At the same time, the actual passage was carried out only in two of them.
Russian occupation troops leave completely blocked road corridors through the checkpoints “Schastya”, “Zolote”, “Gnutove”, “Mayorske” and “Marinka”.
The occupiers open traffic along the road corridor to the Novotroitske checkpoint only twice a week, but the passenger flow is significantly limited. For a week, 285 citizens and 40 vehicles were followed through the checkpoint in the direction of the temporarily occupied Donetsk region, and 491 citizens and 79 vehicles — in the direction of the controlled territory.
Daily transit operations were carried out only at the checkpoint “Stanytsya Luhanska”. Passenger traffic there increased by 15%. In total, the soldiers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine registered 7,903 persons to the temporarily occupied territory, and 8,465 persons to the controlled territory.
In addition, pro-Russian militants did not allow 24 citizens into the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. Border guards ensured their return to controlled territory.
14 trucks carrying humanitarian aid from the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees passed through the checkpoints “Novotroitske” and “Schastya”. For the needs of residents of the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, 216.7 tons of cargo were delivered, in particular, building materials, food and hygiene kits.
We remind you that in order to further prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Government has tightened the conditions of entry into Ukraine. Therefore, in accordance with the order of the commander of the Joint Forces, quarantine restrictions were extended at the checkpoints. A prerequisite is the passage of temperature screening and staying in the checkpoint in a protective mask (respirator) with observance of social distancing.
At the same time, during the action of the “green” level of epidemic danger in Ukraine, citizens arrive in the controlled territory without undergoing self-isolation. And foreigners need to have a health insurance policy to cross the demarcation line.
