The enemy opened fire 6 times near the TV and radio tower guarded by the National Guard in the PLO
On November 17, in the area of the Joint Forces Operation, the enemy opened fire on the village of Komyshuvaha, Luhansk region. It is here that the radio and television broadcasting station is located, which supports the broadcasting of five pro-Ukrainian TV channels in the Donbas.
In addition, it was the National Guard 3 months later that took the radio and television broadcasting station under guard and is here on a permanent rotational basis.
The Joint Control and Coordination Center today, November 18, recorded 6 RTPS shelling from artillery weapons, probably 122 caliber, at a distance of 1000 and 100 meters from the facility and infrastructure of civilians.
“From 15:00 to 15:45 the settlement of Komyshevakh was shelled from the side of the temporarily occupied settlement of Pervomaiske. The goal of the enemy was probably to destroy the signal of the Ukrainian broadcaster. During the last 4 days, the occupation forces have increased the number of shelling of settlements,” said Oleksandr Garkusha, head of the press service of the SCCC.
According to him, in September this year, 7 shelling of settlements were recorded, in October - 9, and as of November 17 - 10 attacks in or near settlements. For each fact of shelling, the SCCC sends a note to the OSCE and appeals to the bodies of the local prosecutor's office, for fixing evidence and further investigation.
Important: radio and television station in n.p. Komyshuvaha is of strategic importance for the state, which is why on August 21 the National Guard took it under guard and takes care of the security of the facility.
