Vinnytsia investigators sent to the court materials about an organized criminal group that searched agricultural firms
Investigators-detectives of the regional head of police of Vinnytsia region completed the pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Art. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (fraud committed on a particularly large scale or by an organized group) and the materials of the case with the indictments were sent to the court.
According to the deputy head of the GUNP in the Vinnytsia region Oleksandr Soldatov, during operational and investigative actions, the police identified and detained members of a criminal group who specialized in fraudulent schemes for appropriating funds of enterprising farmers.
During the pre-trial investigation, it was found that the attackers on the sites were looking for farmers who sold grain and at the same time negotiated with farmers willing to buy it. When drivers from the buyer's side came for grain, the attackers posed as representatives of the seller, took the money and left the territory of the enterprise. Thus, the buyer was left without money and grain.
During the authorized searches, material evidence of their criminal activities was seized from the defendants of the criminal group.
Regarding the three defendants, the materials of the proceedings are sent to the court. According to the investigation, the attackers caused damage to farmers from different regions in the amount of more than 1.2 million UAH.
Members of an organized criminal group face punishment - up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
