The promotion was held from November 25 to December 10. Almost every day out of 16 has its own content and emphasizes that any manifestations of violence are a violation of human rights.

The main event within the framework of this information campaign was the opening of the exhibition “Thing in Tim 2.0” in Kyiv. The event was launched at the initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, under the patronage of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, as well as with the participation of First Lady Elena Zelenska and the Ministry of Social Policy. Videos created within the campaign can be viewed on the site.

In continuation of the information campaign in many cities of the country, police together with local authorities and the public organized local events.

Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Kateryna Pavlichenko noted that each state is called to protect the basic rights and freedoms of its citizens, each of whom has the right to be heard and accepted not only by the state, but also by society.

“The action is coming to an end, but I am convinced that the joint work will bring fruitful results. Only in a free, democratic society with conscious citizens is the success and prosperity of every family and the state as a whole possible,” said Ekaterina Pavolichenko.

For reference: On December 10, 1948, in the Château de Paris, the UN recognized the human right “to life, liberty and inviolability of the person for all without exception” by signing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The principles enshrined in the Declaration are relevant today. The Declaration was a direct consequence of the experience of World War II and for the first time articulated the rights that every person should have. 50 states participated in the preparation of the document. The declaration consists of a preamble and 30 articles. The Universal Declaration, together with the International Covenants on Human Rights, is sometimes referred to as the International Bill of Human Rights. Ukraine ratified these pacts in 1973.

Recall that in Ukraine the action “16 days of activism against violence” continues.

Importantly, trust in the National Police is growing - citizens are more likely to seek help through domestic violence.
