A new procedure for paying fines for traffic violations has been launched in Ukraine, and an additional option appeared in the application “Traffic fines” - Serhiy Goncharov
On April 29, 2021, Law No. 1438-IX “On Amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses in respect of executed Decisions” entered into force. Now drivers who violate traffic rules will not receive a paper version of an already paid resolution, as it was before. Instead, thanks to the application “Traffic Penalties”, the car owner can set up information about recorded offenses or check their presence online.
This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Sergey Goncharov.
He stressed that a new option appeared in the application “Traffic penalties” - from now on, you can pay the decision on administrative violations using Apple Pay.
“In the iOS application “Traffic penalties” and the telegram bot @ShtrafyPDR, the ability to pay with Apple Pay is integrated. Paying fines has become even more convenient! In addition to monitoring the issued resolutions for violation of traffic rules and their payment, applications on Android and iOS contain the most up-to-date map of the location of speeding cameras,” the deputy minister said.
Sergey Goncharov reminded that if the payment of the fine was made within 10 banking days from the moment of receipt of the decision, then a 50% discount is provided upon payment.
In addition, the application “Traffic fines” will be useful to those drivers who are not owners of the vehicle.
The adopted Law regulates the procedure for the enforcement of decrees in respect of foreigners or stateless persons who have imported a vehicle with foreign registration into the territory of Ukraine. In case of non-payment of a fine within 30 days from the date of entry into force of the administrative decision, it is subject to enforcement.
