Ukrainian rescuers take part in international, command-and-staff, tactical-special exercises and trainings
Specialists of the Rescue Service daily carry out comprehensive work to prevent the occurrence of various kinds of emergency situations, as well as check the readiness of units to act as intended. All this allows them to improve their skills and adopt best practices for effective work.
In particular, on September 27, within the framework of the EU-CHEM-REACT 2 project, International field exercises began in Lviv region, in which, in addition to Ukrainian rescuers, representatives of the Republic of Poland, the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Latvia and the Republic of Moldova participate, as well as the International Center for Chemical Safety (. Warsaw), UN, OSCE and Interpol, etc. Such trainings, the participants of which receive both experience in communicating with emergency services and local management bodies, as well as practical skills in the elimination of emergencies of various levels and types, are held in different regions of the Uraini.
On September 28, tactical and special exercises were also held on the territory of the House of Culture “Enerhetykiv” in Zaporizhia. The staff of the institution, together with the rescuers of the State Emergency Service, worked out actions to eliminate the conditional fire on the territory of cultural institutions and facilities with mass attendance of people.
On the same day, a training and methodological seminar on civil protection was held on the basis of the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine in Kharkiv. In the framework of which the participants (namely the leaders of the territorial communities in the field of education) carried out actions during the detection of explosive objects, hazardous chemicals, the occurrence of a transport accident, the provision of first aid and assistance to the victim after the accident, etc.
At the same time, on September 28 in Kropyvnytskyi, classes were held with the personnel of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of the region on the fire strip, within which such normative exercises as crossing the horizontal overpass with burning liquid were carried out; climbing and descending the marching stairs, going up and down a vertical ladder, etc.
And on September 27, in Kamianets-Podilskyi, tactical and special exercises were held at a facility with a mass presence of people. Rescuers trained to extinguish the conditional fire of the hostel №5 of Kamianets-Podolsk Ogienko National University. The event was organized in order to train the personnel of the fire and rescue service on the elimination of fires at facilities with a large number of people, as well as to improve the interaction between the operational services of the city.
Instead, cadets of the 2nd year of the Cherkasy Institute of Fire Safety named after him. Heroes of Chernobyl in the period from September 27 to October 5 work in compressed air apparatuses in a container-type fire simulator “Fire Module”. The purpose of the training is to apply knowledge and skills to the cadets in practice, orientation of the GDS link in an unbreathable environment, visualization of the development of internal fire and its dangerous factors, fire reconnaissance by B-SAHF method, operation of fire extinguishing jets. During such classes, certified CHIPB instructors make every effort to prepare future rescue service specialists as best as possible.
And already on September 30, two-day large-scale training of rescuers “Rescue Days Ukraine 2021” begins on the basis of the training ground of the Emergency and Rescue Squad of the Special Purpose Task Force of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Rivne region.
Therefore, diverse trainings and joint trainings on the prevention of various kinds of emergency situations, as well as operational response in the event of emergencies at various facilities, are conducted by the units of the State Emergency Service systematically and are of great practical importance, because they allow to improve practical skills and deepen the theoretical knowledge of their participants.
