New Marine Rescue Center opened in Zaporizhzhya region
On October 20, a new Marine Rescue Center was opened in Berdyansk.
Coordination of search and rescue work in the open sea was carried out by the center of the Maritime Search and Rescue Service in Berdyansk with the involvement of specialized search and rescue units of the center, rescue means of other agencies and vessels in the waters of the Sea of Azov.
For prompt and timely response to emergency situations, it is necessary to create a modern material and technical base, the latest technologies, means of communication, and most importantly - to equip reliable floating means to overcome water obstacles and modern rescue equipment for effective rescue operations on the water.
The head of Zaporizhzhya rescuers congratulated the employees and management of the Center on the opening and expressed hope for joint cooperation and coordinated work in the direction of prompt response to emergencies, accidents, and potentially dangerous situations at sea.
The service ensures the carrying of constant search and rescue readiness for the prompt rescue of people, providing them with emergency medical care and evacuation to a safe place.
