In the Hall of Remembrance of the Ministry of Defense honored the deceased Heroes of Ukraine, among them 5 guards
Today, August 24, in the Hall of Remembrance on the territory of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, a daily morning ceremony commemorating the defenders of Ukraine, who died on this day in different years during peacekeeping operations in hot spots of the world and as a result of Russian armed aggression in the east of Ukraine, in the area of the anti-terrorist operation and the United Operation Of the forces.
The event was attended by relatives and relatives of the deceased heroes, representatives of the leadership of the Defense Department, command and representatives of the National Guard of Ukraine, officers and employees of structural units of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In total, the bell sounded twenty-two times today...
Killed servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine:
Vyacheslav Sarazhan — lieutenant colonel, military unit 3039. August 24, during the withdrawal from N.P. Amvrosiyivka in the direction of the city of Mariupol, the column, which included Lieutenant Colonel Sarazhan, was ambushed by illegal armed formations. Lieutenant Colonel Sarazhan ensured the departure of the main part of the column from the fire of terrorists, and he himself received shrapnel wounds incompatible with life.
Yuriy Smirnov — soldier, military unit 3039. On August 23, 2014, serviceman Smirnov performed a combat mission to destroy terrorists near the national cemetery. Uspenka, Amvrosievsky district, Donetsk region, during which he was fatally wounded.

Boris Gryaznov — ensign, military unit 3033
Serhiy Dobrovolsky — Senior Ensign, Military Unit 3033
Circumstances of death: On August 24, 2014, a column of the NGU was ambushed by militants near the village. Novoivanivka Amvrosiyivsky district. Soldiers Maxim Baranov, Boris Gryaznov and Sergey Dobrovolsky were mortally wounded in that battle.
By the Decree of the President of Ukraine “for personal courage and high professionalism shown in the protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath”, all of them were awarded the Order “For Courage” of the III degree (posthumously).
The participants honored the memory of the defenders of Ukraine with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the Stele of Remembrance. Eternal memory to the heroes who fought for our free, independent Ukraine! Eternal Glory to Heroes!
Reference: The Hall of Remembrance of Defenders of Ukraine was created to commemorate the servicemen who died for the freedom, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. It is specially arranged in such a way that military personnel, employees of the Ministry of Defense and General Staff, and ordinary citizens can enter the Hall and pay tribute to their defenders.
Near the building of the Hall of Remembrance there is a plaza for solemn ceremonial events and a Commemorative Sign, in which fragments of shells with the Memorial Bell are mounted. The daily memorial ritual is carried out by ringing a bell, depending on the number of dead on that day.
In the middle of the Hall of Remembrance, on special podiums, there are Memory Books with the names of the dead. The structure of the Books is built on the principle of the calendar: one turn is one day, where all those who died on this day for all the years are remembered.
