New projects will be launched within the framework of the Joint Ukrainian-French Intergovernmental Commission - Denis Monastyrskyi
Today, October 27, in Paris, the co-chairman of the Joint Ukrainian-French Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation - Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky and Minister of Economy, Finance and Reconstruction of the French Republic Bruno Le Mer held a working meeting.
Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine - Co-Chairman of the Commission Denis Monastyrsky stressed that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is ready to consolidate its efforts to complete existing projects. Namely, the supply of helicopters Airbus Helicopters and OCEA patrol boats. Also, the Ministry is ready to start new projects — supply of fire trucks with Echelles Riffaud ladders and renewal of the fleet of freight electric locomotives of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”.
“In the framework of our Joint Economic Commission, we pay special attention to large infrastructure projects that correlate with the program of the President of Ukraine. For example, the joint project of Ukrzaliznytsia and Alstom, which involves the development of infrastructure and the acquisition of 130 electric locomotives,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine stressed that in the future plans are bilateral cooperation between SE “Antonov” and Airbus. We are talking about the creation of a new European center for the modernization of foreign passenger aircraft into freight (passenger to freighter conversion) at the production facilities of the State Enterprise “Antonov”.
“In recent years, Ukrainian-French projects within the framework of our work in the Commission are impressive in terms of their scale and budget. Of course, an important factor in our activity remains the mandatory 30% localization of production in Ukraine,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
In addition, Denis Monastyrsky stressed Ukraine's position on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
Nord Stream 2 is a serious threat and a challenge to European solidarity and security. Three days ago, Ukraine informed the EU that we are ready to pump an additional 55 billion cubic meters of gas at a discount in order to increase supplies and alleviate the energy crisis in Europe,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine stressed.
In turn, the Minister of Economy, Finance and Reconstruction of the French Republic Bruno Le Mer assured his Ukrainian counterpart of France's continued readiness to develop all projects, expressing the intention and desire to visit Ukraine again.
