Border detachments are looking for chiefs of staff within the framework of the NOX project

The 7th stage of selection of candidates within the framework of the NOCS project began in the State Border Guard Service.

The new face of the leadership is a new philosophy of appointment to senior positions in the State Border Service of Ukraine, which is being implemented with the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine and IOM.

The project has been successfully implemented in the border department for two years, and the previous leaders of the competitive selection, namely 18 heads of the detachment and 21 deputy heads of the detachment, have already been appointed to the relevant positions. The project made it possible to select candidates for leadership positions openly, without corruption, pedantry and agreements. Appointment occurs according to the rating, which is formed according to understandable objective indicators.

It should also be noted that since the start of the project implementation, no official has been appointed to the relevant leadership positions in the bodies of the State Border Guard Service out of competition.

Yesterday at the Separate Command of Security and Security in Kyiv, the next stage of selection of candidates within the framework of the NOCS project started.

From June 23 to 25, the department will already select the best officers for the leading positions of border detachments. This time — candidates for enrolment in the personnel reserve for the positions of first deputy heads of state border guards — chiefs of staff.

The desire to participate in the present selection was expressed by 19 officers. Candidates will take exams within three days, and the winners of the competition will be included in the personnel reserve according to the rating.

As during the previous ranking elections, in particular for the posts of heads of border guards and chiefs of staff of border detachments, candidates are expected to undergo real examinations. This is a comprehensive test on border security, physical training, skill in handling weapons, knowledge of business Ukrainian and foreign languages. If the candidate or candidate does not score several points, they can catch up during the interview. An additional argument can be the result of an IQ test and a voluntary test for integrity using a polygraph.

It is extremely important that such events take place with the support of the Embassy of the United States of America in Ukraine, the International Organization for Migration in Ukraine and representatives of civil society — the non-governmental organization “Europe without barriers”, which is a confirmation of the openness and publicity of the State Border Service of Ukraine in the activities to form the personnel reserve of the management of the security agencies the state border.
