The 29th edition of border officers was held at the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service
Today, solemn events were held on the Independence Square of the city of Khmelnytsky on the occasion of the summer graduation of the National Academy of the State Border Service of Ukraine named after Bohdan Khmelnytsky.
For the border college, this is already the 29th edition, at which yesterday's cadets receive their first officer rank and lieutenant shoulder straps. In total, 319 lieutenants, 86 officers of the Faculty of Management Training and 43 students received the long-awaited graduation diplomas of the National Academy today. As a result of passing state exams and protection of qualifying final papers, 40 graduates of the university received diplomas with honors, the names of two officers, for impeccable results of training, will be entered on the board of honor of the National Academy. 5 participants of the Russian-Ukrainian war received lieutenant stars on their shoulder blades, 9 lieutenants continue the border dynasty of their parents, 5 officers already have considerable achievements in sports and championship titles, and 5 married pairs of border guards in the officer ranks.
After the awarding of diplomas, according to the established tradition, there was a joint prayer for the border guards of Ukraine and the consecration of the graduates, which were addressed by Bishop of Khmelnytsky and Kamianets-Podolsk of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, His Holiness Paul.
Also, with a moment of silence and laying flowers at the Memorial Stelpiece of the memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and the participants of the anti-terrorist operation, the border guards honored the dead brothers.
The Head of the State Border Service, Major General Serhiy Deineko, addressed the graduates with a congratulatory word: “From this day on, you are already border officers, and together with the officer's shoulder straps, a huge responsibility lay on your shoulders. From now on, you are not just boys and girls, you are the face of our state. Its safety and tranquility depend on you. And remember the country, and you are its first line of defense.”
Also, the people's deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Pavlo Sushko congratulated the graduates and their parents on the occasion of graduation of the Academy. “You have chosen for yourself not just a profession in life, but a responsible mission - to guard the state border. You will be the first on the borders of our state. I sincerely believe that each of you will be the real pride of our country,” he said.
For the conscientious performance of official duties, high professionalism and significant contribution to the field of officer training, more than 30 servicemen and employees of the National Academy received state, departmental awards and honors, as well as certificates and valuable gifts from the heads of the regional administration, city and regional councils. Four graduates of the Faculty of Management Training were presented by the Head of the State Border Guard Service with the shoulder straps of lieutenant colonel on the occasion of receiving the regular officer rank.
In general, graduate officers have already been assigned to places of service on the state border of Ukraine in units and departments of border detachments, separate checkpoint “Kiev”, units for performing special tasks, marine guard units and air squadrons, border educational institutions Departments. Nine graduates of the Faculty of Management Training at their own request were appointed to positions in the units performing tasks in the area of the Joint Forces Operation.
