The National Guard launched the Basic Reconnaissance Training Course under the guidance of the “UNIFIER” Operation Instructors TRA 19, 2021
On May 17, on the basis of the Training and Combat Center for the preparation of units for special actions of the International Center of the National Guard, the solemn opening of the basic course of training of the intelligence officer of the National Guard of the National Guard took place. The exercises for the guards will be conducted by representatives of the Joint Operational and Tactical Group of the Armed Forces of Canada (Operation UNIFIER).
“We have been working for a very long time to start conducting the Basic Scout Training Course today. We welcome the opportunity to teach you our methods of conducting intelligence and are eager to learn yours. The aim of this course is to develop the qualifications of military NGOs to a level compatible with NATO countries. If we need to take actions side by side, we will be able to do it. This is our overall goal, so the development and implementation of this basic training course is our priority,” said Captain Patrick Kelly, the course leader from the Canadian side.
During the opening ceremony, Colonel Volodymyr Hrabchak, Head of the Department of International Cooperation of the State University of NGU, thanked Canadian colleagues for their cooperation in the preparation and development of the course program. He noted that the National Guard of Ukraine was and will continue to be open for cooperation.
The basic course of the scout is held for the first time, it will last 6 weeks. Throughout the pilot course, specialists from the National Guard, together with Canadian instructors, will improve and adjust the training program.
The next course will be carried out with changes and will become basic for special purpose units and snipers. This will help to prepare units according to a single standard and further apply the acquired knowledge during the performance of military and military duties in the area of the operation of the Joint Forces.
