The Ministry of Internal Affairs selected police and national guards to participate in peacekeeping operations
From September 27 to October 1, 2021, in order to form a reserve of candidates with knowledge of the French language for referral to international operations for the maintenance of peace and security, the department of organization of peacekeeping activities of the Department of Professional Education and Science of the Department of Personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs together with the Special Peacekeeping Center of the National Academy of Internal Affairs preliminary testing of police officers of the National Police of Ukraine and servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine was carried out.
In total, 50 people took part in the tests - 29 police officers and 21 servicemen, of which 7 were women law enforcement officers.
The selection of candidates was carried out according to a training and thematic plan agreed in advance by the management of the Department of Personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in accordance with the requirements of the Department of Peacekeeping Operations of the UN Secretariat, in particular on the subject of French language proficiency, fire training and all-wheel drive skills.
According to the results of the selection for the final testing with the participation of the International Expert Commission of the UN Secretariat, 12 candidates were recommended - 3 policemen, of which 1 woman, and 9 servicemen, of which 2 women. All of them demonstrated a high level of knowledge and skills that meet the requirements of the United Nations.
