The Migration Service of Kyiv and the region colorfully celebrated the Day of Embroidery
Divisions of the Central Interregional Directorate of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine in the city. Kiev and the Kiev region were painted with multi-colored embroidery. In this way, the employees of the department reminded Ukrainians of a sense of unity and close connection with their state, and foreigners were introduced to the traditions of our country.
For the 15th year in a row, World Embroidery Day is celebrated on the third Thursday of May. Officials of the Central Interregional Department of the State Health Service of Ukraine in the city. Kyiv and Kyiv region willingly supported the idea of the holiday — they dressed in embroidered shirts, demonstrating their patriotic position and respect for Ukrainian traditions.
Many citizens also came to receive administrative services in national dress, proving that Ukrainians are a united and unshakable nation. Foreigners, however, such an unusual appearance of civil servants prompted questions. Thus, for the first time, some of them learned about the national Ukrainian clothing and today's distinctive holiday. This is of great importance, given that the integration of migrants into Ukrainian society implies not only knowledge of the language and compliance with the laws of our country, but also respect for the culture of Ukraine.
“This holiday not only unites people who respect Ukrainian culture, but also strengthens the corporate spirit and lifts the mood. Our team has developed a good tradition — to spend this day, adhering to the patriotic dress code. This action has a deep meaning, because the Ukrainian embroidered shirt, like the language, is an expression of the Ukrainian people, an expression of their national and civic position, cultural education. I wish that the patriotism of each of us does not end with the wearing of national clothes, but manifests itself in everyday affairs,” said the head of the CMU DMS in the city.
