The discussions were attended by representatives of international organizations, scientists, practitioners, representatives of state authorities and local self-government bodies, public organizations, as well as doctoral students, graduate students and higher education applicants.

As noted by the organizers of the conference, an event of this scale was held for the first time at the regional level. Participants worked live in 2 parallel sessions and a round table.

Among the thematic areas of the conference are historical, theoretical and philosophical principles of ensuring gender equality in Ukraine; gender policy in judicial and law enforcement spheres; integration of the gender component in various spheres of public life and public administration; international legal regulation and foreign practice of ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men; women's movement in Ukraine from independence to the present.

“Ukrainian policy is aimed at European and Euro-Atlantic integration, and therefore we have to get closer to EU standards. Ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men in all areas is such a standard. Also important is the issue of gender equality in the security and defense sectors, an integrative component of such a policy. Separately, it is worth raising the issue of the women's movement and its role in the formation and formation of an independent state,” the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy Ekaterina Levchenko emphasized.

In particular, the moderator of the event noted that the powerful potential of Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs will allow to hold events of this direction regularly.

“It is necessary that practice and science on this issue are in constant relationship,” concluded Ekaterina Borysivna.

According to the results of the international conference, it is planned to form a resolution, which will be officially adopted on June 16. At the moment, the participants of the event submit their proposals according to the mentioned topic.
