Measures on the engineering arrangement of the border continue
With the onset of favorable weather conditions, border guards continue active engineering arrangement of the state border and renewal of border engineering infrastructure. Ukrainian-Russian state border within Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Luhansk regions, Ukrainian-Moldovan state border, territories adjacent to administrative boundary with the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, approved by the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The engineering units of the departments of border services and border detachments carry out work on the renovation of control and track lanes, fortifications, crossings through complex areas, construction of various types of barriers and obstacles on the border and approaches to it, clearing border crossings, maintenance of border signs, etc.
It should be noted that since the beginning of the engineering season, 22 km of anti-traffic moat, 16 km of barbed wire barriers have been arranged, 2185 km of control-track strip have been updated. In addition, 1135 border signs and almost 2,280 information and warning signs “Attention! State border of Ukraine. Passage is prohibited.”
