Tatiana Kovalchuk held a meeting with the coordinator of the UN system in Ukraine Osnat Lubrani
Today, April 15, as a continuation of the dialogue between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and representatives of UN organizations in Ukraine, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Tetiana Kovalchuk met with the coordinator of the UN system in Ukraine Osnat Lubrani.
The meeting discussed the issues of cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and accredited institutions of the UN system in Ukraine, in particular, on the continuation of cooperation within the framework of the project Custody Records, IMMIS and the inclusion in the UNDP project activities of a component that would provide for a system of collection and removal from the population in the territory of certain regions of Ukraine bordering on the territory of certain regions of Ukraine bordering the uncontrolled territories, from the illegal circulation of weapons, ammunition and explosives.
Osnat Lubrani said that UN organizations in Ukraine will support the Ministry of Internal Affairs in conducting a study of the national situation and a survey on violence against girls in sports schools and other sports facilities.
Also discussed was the launch of cooperation of UN development programs with the National Guard of Ukraine in the areas of protection of public order and public security, in the field of radiation, chemical, bacteriological protection and in the field of demining territories.
At the same time, Ms. Lubrani expressed readiness to support the Human Rights Monitoring Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine from the UN.
