Celebrate safely: law enforcement officers have already stepped on duty near religious buildings

All over the country, units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs took turns at religious buildings.

Volyn region: According to preliminary information, about 50 thousand believers will take part in events on the occasion of Easter. On Easter holidays, more than 900 policemen and more than 40 National Guard troops will be involved in ensuring public order and security near religious buildings, while another 130 police officers will patrol the streets and settlements.

Lviv region: during all Easter holidays, police officers will be near temples where festive services will take place and carry out explanatory work with citizens.

Since Easter will be quarantined this year, law enforcement warns: strictly adhere to quarantine requirements, use personal protective equipment and avoid crowds of people.

Kyiv region: More than 1.4 thousand police officers, 131 representatives of public organizations and 100 permanent and alternating members of the National Academy of Internal Affairs will be involved in ensuring public security and order on May 1 and 2 in Kyiv region.

In addition, the work of 6 mobile groups of the GUNP in the Kiev region was organized in order to check the performance of the personnel during the provision of public security and order during the religious missions.

Transcarpathian region: During the Easter holidays, the Transcarpathian police switch to a reinforced version of service, only on Easter night about two thousand police officers will be on duty in the churches of the region. The number of patrols is increasing on the territory of the region. At night, when services will be held in the churches of the region and people will consecrate festive baskets, law enforcement officers will patrol near each of the temples in Transcarpathia.

Ivano-Frankivsk region: Law enforcement officers serve near temples, protect the safety of believers and monitor the observance of quarantine rules. On the eve of Divine services, all churches are checked by employees of the explosion department, canine center and rescuers for the presence of dangerous objects and proper observance of the fire condition.

Ternopil region: 900 police officers are involved in law enforcement. Law enforcement officers will monitor the prevention of criminal and administrative offenses. Particular attention will be paid to the settlements where alternate divine services are held, and to religious communities that have transferred to the OCU.

Rivne region: On the territory of the region, festive services on the night of May 1 to 2 are planned in 811 religious buildings. More than 600 police officers will be involved in the protection of public security and order, these days in a reinforced regime, 60 soldiers of the National Guard, including those near temples.

Zhytomyr region: From May 1, units of the Main Directorate of the National Police of the region are switching to an enhanced version of service. About 550 police officers and half a hundred other National Guardsmen will work on public holidays to ensure public safety and order, including near temples and churches. On the days of the projected mass displacement of citizens, April 30, May 1 and 4, additional patrols of police response teams of territorial units of the GUNP of Zhytomyr region and the Department of Patrol Police in the region will work to ensure safety on the highways of the region.

Khmelnytsky region: More than 600 policemen, National Guard troops and rescuers will be involved in the protection of public order and monitoring the observance of quarantine restrictions near the temples.

Chernivtsi region: Currently, police officers are on duty and make sure that the Easter weekend passes quietly and nothing overshadows the joy of the celebration. Under the close attention of law enforcement — religious buildings, places of rest, as well as highways and streets of settlements of Chernivtsi region. Police officers monitor law and order, quarantine and remind citizens of the basic rules for the safe celebration of religious and May holidays.

Vinnytsia region: More than 1800 police officers, about fifty military personnel and more than 400 rescuers will be involved in the maintenance of law order on the May holidays. In the main police department, an operational headquarters will work around the clock, the working group of which will analyze and promptly respond to all changes in the situation in the region.

Odessa region: Celebrations in the region are planned in 566 temples and churches. All of them were checked by police explosives officers for dangerous items. In general, more than 1100 law enforcement officers were involved in ensuring public order, security of parishioners, as well as road traffic around religious buildings.

Mykolaiv region: About 900 policemen, servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine will serve in a reinforced regime, will be assisted by representatives of public organizations for the protection of public order. On Easter night, law enforcement officers will ensure public order and security in 238 religious buildings located in the region.

Kirovograd region: Due to the significant increase in the number of vehicles on the highways of the region on holidays and weekends, the forces of the response sectors of the patrol police of the territorial units of the GUNP and the department of the patrol police of the region are carrying out preventive measures aimed at preventing road traffic conditions, ensuring the safety of drivers and passengers.

Sumy region: More than 800 law enforcement officers will ensure public safety and order in the region during the festive events on the occasion of Easter. From May 1 to 2, in 344 religious buildings, festive liturgies are planned to be held on the territory of the region. Law enforcement officers will not only ensure public order, but also monitor citizens' compliance with current quarantine restrictions.

Poltava region: On Easter holidays, about 650 policemen, 70 National Guards and 120 rescuers will carry out the protection of public order and security. In addition, more than a hundred public organizations expressed a desire, together with the police, to protect law and order in various settlements of the region.

According to preliminary information, services on the night of May 2 will be held in 360 religious buildings in the region.

Dnipropetrovsk region: About 2,000 police officers, almost 200 National Guard soldiers, cadets of internal affairs universities will follow the order on holidays. Police officers will guard public safety and monitor compliance with quarantine regulations.

Kherson region: During the May holidays, the police of the Kherson region work in a strengthened mode. Law enforcement officers strengthen security measures to maintain public order and comply with quarantine restrictions by citizens, in places of mass recreation of citizens and in resort areas of the region.

300 temples and other religious buildings, where divine services will take place, will be visited by more than 30 thousand residents and guests of the Kherson region. Before the start of the events, the territory will be examined by specialists, explosives technicians and employees of the canine service of the regional head of police. The protection of public order and the safety of citizens in places of worship will be carried out by about 600 police officers. Also 376 police officers and 63 servicemen of the 3056 National Guard of Ukraine will patrol the streets of settlements and in places of mass stay of citizens.

Zaporozhye region: About 800 police officers, more than 300 national guards and more than 300 rescuers will be ensured.

From 21 o'clock on May 1, festive services begin in religious buildings. In total, religious celebrations will be held in more than 200 temples on the territory of Zaporizhia and the region. According to preliminary data, about 60 thousand believers will take part in the events.

Donetsk Oblast: It is planned to involve the maximum number of personnel, namely more than 1500 police officers, National Guard servicemen and cadets, to the protection of public order in the territory of Donetsk region.

From 21:00 on May 1, police officers will take 254 churches under 24-hour guard, where services are planned. More than 750 law enforcement officers will be on duty directly near the religious buildings.

Luhansk region: More than 2 thousand law enforcement officers — police, guards and cadets — are involved in the work for the holidays.
