For the first time, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system will take part in the international competition Warrior Games in the USA
Today, May 31, Deputy Head of the National Police Vadim Troyan took part in the ceremony of announcing the participants of the national team of Ukraine at the Warrior Games 2021.
According to the results of the competition, Ukraine in the international games “Warrior Games”, which will be held in the United States, will be represented by 40 combat veterans.
Deputy head of the National Police Vadim Troyan said that 12 employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system will represent the national team at international competitions.
“12 representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have passed the qualifying competitions in Ukraine and are already preparing to speak in the United States. These are 8 national guards, 2 border guards, 1 policeman and 1 employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. At the moment, this is our largest national team that will test its strength in international games. Earlier, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system have already participated in the “Invictus Games”, - said Vadim Troyan.
It is worth noting that the Warrior Games competition will be held in September 2021 in Orlando (USA), in which more than 500 combatants from 8 countries of the world will take part (USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Netherlands, Georgia, Denmark, Ukraine). The competition program includes 12 sports. Among them: archery, golf, athletics, wheelchair basketball, powerlifting and sitting volleyball. Teams from the USA, Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Denmark and other countries of the world participate. This year, for the first time, a team from Ukraine will take part in the competition. The inclusion of the Ukrainian team in the Warrior Games should contribute to the expansion of rehabilitation opportunities for Ukrainian veterans and servicemen.
Recall that earlier in Kyiv the selection competitions “Vityaga of the Unconquered” were held, in which servicemen and veterans of combat operations who received injuries, injuries and illnesses during the performance of their duty in the combat zone took part.
