Yesterday, the Tyachiv District Court held another hearing in the case of the murder of the border guard Vadim Berezensky. It was planned to hear witnesses at the hearing, but for the third time in a row none of them appeared in the courtroom.
As a result, the court only extended the period of detention of the murder suspect until January 1, 2022, and scheduled the next hearing for December 29, 2021.
The murder of the head of the department of the border service “Dilove” occurred in November 2018. The border guard was hit by a car smuggler Ivan Magei, after which he fled from the scene of the crime.
For causing the death of Vadim Berezensky, suspected of murder, faces imprisonment for a term of 9 to 15 years, or life imprisonment.
