Video surveillance systems are an essential factor in the safety of communities
Horodotsk City Council is implementing a project to modernize the video surveillance system, which will be connected to the unified video surveillance system of the police of Lviv region.
The project is implemented in cooperation with the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region and provides for the ongoing repair of existing CCTV cameras and the installation of additional cameras in the community, as well as their integration into the complex of video surveillance system “Safe Lviv region”. Now there are 47 chambers on the territory of the council, soon their number will increase by another 4.
The project “Safe Lviv Region” is a completely new level of identification of threats and risks, the possibility of carrying out preventive work to prevent the commission of crimes, terrorist, man-made and other threats, reducing the time of response to crimes, offenses and other events. It will also make it much more effective to investigate crimes, identify, establish whereabouts and detain offenders and subsequently prove their guilt. The police will be able to detect and identify in real time the vehicles of intruders, as well as those that are wanted and will have many other opportunities.
The project is implemented within the framework of the Program to Support Initiatives of Local Carpathian Communities, initiated by the Association “Euroregion of Carpathians - Ukraine” and financed by the regional budgets of Lviv, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions.
